married John Mayer picked up my copy of Born and Raised this afternoon! So damn amazing, to hold him the album in my arms hands.
John, you taught me how to be brave in any situation I faced. You taught me how to love another with all of my heart, more than I ever thought possible. You give me hope that I will make it through each day, because I know that I’m not the only one in this world. You inspire me to achieve greatness, and that one day, just maybe, I might amount to a greatness of my own making.
Now it’s time for us to be brave for you, to be as strong as we possibly can be. We will give you hope for tomorrow, that it will be a better day than the one before. And we promise to inspire you to become the greatest musician in human history.
We already love you wholly, but we promise to make you feel our love throughout this heartbreaking time in your life.
The entire JM family is with you, John. Please don’t forget that.
So I just went to my friend’s 18th birthday party, and when I put on some John Mayer, no one had any idea who he was. It was disgusting.
My dash at the moment. Figured it was fitting.
Ever have those dreams where you’re miraculously noticed by your celebrity crush and they immediately want to marry you?
I had this dream just last night, imagining I was at one of John Mayer’s shows, and he somewhat sang every one of his songs to me, and me only, despite the huge cheering crowds. We held eye contact for the whole performance - nothing could break our connection.
After the show, I hung back and waited for him. He found me and took me backstage where we just talked and talked and talked as though we had known each other for centuries. Then (keep in mind this was a dream), he pulls out this tiny velvet box and presents me with a ring. I accept his proposal of course, and we marry the following afternoon in a beautiful ceremony. I’m graciously accepted into his family - they adore my simplicity - and my world could not be any better.
Then I woke up. My husband was not there, and I had to begin my Monday morning with a shitty day at school.
John Mayer, psychologist
I was in Psychology class today, we were focusing on emotional intelligence. I was zoning out for most of the time until my teacher mentioned one of the psychologists involved in the research: John Mayer.
I almost fell out of my chair, I kid you not. From sitting absent-mindedly, I almost jumped out of my chair, thinking I was hallucinating or something. I checked my textbook, and there was his name. It was quite a strange experience.
I was so amazed, that I had to listen to all of his music the moment I got home.
[Just thought I’d share this piece of information with you all.]
